February 19th, 2007 by · 18 Comments · What are you reading?

So many books and so little time. There are many of you out there reading some great books! I would love to hear about them. Please tell me what you are reading, who the author is (just in case someone else wants to read it) a short summary of your book, and whether you would recommend your book or not. This is a great way to share so give it a try!

I am so glad to be back from TCEA! I learned so much, had some fun, but was ready to come home. I came back with several ideas while at TCEA, and starting a blog was one of them. So please bare with me while I give it a go. I hope this will be a huge success for all of us. This is a new way of communicating, and I like new things!

New series in the library

February 11th, 2007 by · No Comments · New to the Library

While in Austin at TCEA, I visited Book People. Book people is a huge book store with a children’s section that is unbelievable. While there, I purchased a new series of books: The Children of the Red King, Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo. So far there are five books in this series (we have AR tests for all five).  If you like Harry Potter you will be a fan of Charlie Bone. They are more appropriate for 4th and 5th gradersand need to be read in order. Unfortunately I was only able to purchase one copy of each book. If you read the book, post what you think of it. I can’t wait to hear.
